“The annual Tamarama to Clovelly swim is to be held on February 26, 2012. As co-hosts of the swim the club is required to provide water safety for swimmers as well as volunteers for first aid, marshalling, hospitality tents, bag drops etc.
The short swims are being held within Clovelly Bay and commence from 8.00am. The main swim commences from Tamarama from 9.00am with the first swimmers anticipated to be within Clovelly’s patrol area from about 9.20am. Therefore we will need volunteers from about 7.30 until about 11.00am to help set up for the swim and be ready for water safety.
It is recommended that you bring a wetsuit if you are planning to help with water safety as you will be in the water for up to several hours. If you are able to assist the club it would be greatly appreciated. Volunteering will count as patrol hours and is an excellent opportunity to do a makeup if you have missed a patrol.
Please let your patrol captains know if you are able to volunteer, or a alternately contact me on derekvet16@gmail.com Derek Wong Club Captain. To register for the swim and to find out more information please use the following link www.t2cswim.com ”
